What the ATS score checks
The score looks at five things recruiters' software cares about: complete contact details, standard section headings, a sensible length of one to two pages, well-formed bullet points that start with action verbs and include numbers, and a keyword-rich skills section.
Every missing point comes with a plain suggestion — add a LinkedIn URL, rename a creative heading to "Experience", or shorten a three-page resume — and the score updates live as you edit.
Match your resume to a job description
Paste a job description and ResumeJet pulls out the keywords the employer is looking for, then shows which ones your resume already covers and which are missing. Matching runs in your browser, so your resume text is not uploaded for the comparison.
Use the ATS Pure template if you want the safest possible layout: single column, plain headings and no graphics.
How it works
- Open the builder and import your resume (PDF, Word or text).
- Open the Score tab to see your ATS score.
- Fix the suggestions and watch the score rise.
- Paste a job description to check keyword match.
Frequently asked questions
What is an ATS?
An applicant tracking system is software employers use to collect, filter and rank resumes before a human reads them.
Is a high ATS score a guarantee?
No tool can guarantee a result, but following the checks makes your resume much easier for ATS software and recruiters to read.
Can I check a resume I made elsewhere?
Yes. Import a PDF, Word or text file, review what was detected, and the score updates immediately.
