Terms of Use

Last updated: October 26, 2026

By using ResumeJet you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

The service

ResumeJet is a free, browser-based tool for creating resumes and cover letters, with optional AI assistance and PDF and Word export. We may add, change or remove features at any time.

Your content

You own the content you create. It is stored in your browser and is not uploaded to us. You are responsible for its accuracy and for having the right to use any text, images or other material you add. Do not use ResumeJet to create misleading, unlawful or infringing content.

You are responsible for keeping copies. We cannot recover resumes that are lost because browser data was cleared, a device was lost or storage was full.

AI features

AI-generated text can be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate. Always review and edit it before you use it, and make sure everything on your resume is true. AI features rely on third-party providers whose availability, limits and terms we do not control, and they may stop working at any time.

ATS score and suggestions

The ATS score, keyword match and other suggestions are guidance based on general rules. They are not a guarantee that any employer's software will accept, rank or shortlist your resume, or that you will get an interview or a job.

Templates and exported files

You may use the templates and the files you export for your own personal job applications, and you may share those files with employers and recruiters. You may not resell the templates themselves or copy the site's code or design for a competing service without permission.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the site: do not try to disrupt it, overload it, probe it for vulnerabilities, scrape it at scale or use it for any unlawful purpose.

No warranty

ResumeJet is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or uninterrupted availability.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ResumeJet and its owners are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost opportunities or lost income, arising from your use of the site or from your inability to use it.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Privacy

How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy.
